Make A Difference for April 2009

Steven Steen:
Steven was polite and very helpful at the Secret Pal party.  He assisted with trash collection. All of the Team Moms were very complimentary of all of his help.  Thank you Steven.

Emily Meyer:
Emily has been a leader and role model to all of the dancers in Flintstones.  Her enthusiasm, work ethic and determination is amazing. At Starquest, Miss Emily competed her solo and won Top Junior Soloist while suffering and in severe pain. She had surgery the next day and was back dancing two weeks after that.   She is fabulous.

Brittany Mertzel:
Brittany is always helpful and assists the younger dancers whenever possible. She was a tremendous help at Primetime. During the Grand Finals Dance Offs she stayed backstage to assist with all of the dancers who had quick changes. We won three of the four divisions and Brittany helped make sure everyone made it on stage on time!

April 2008

Erin and Vanessa make a Difference at TDC!Erin Meyer - Erin is always a hard worker and always has a fantastic attitude at dance.   Erin is the team leader on the Flintstones team. She helps all of the younger dancers and is always a great example to everyone on her team.

Vanessa Daly - Vanessa is always thoughtful of others and goes out of her way to be kind and caring. At the Revolve Tour Vanessa made sure that all of the gals were included in  Some of the gals that attended did not know everyone in our very large group, but Vanessa went constantly made sure that everyone became friends by the end of the weekend. She did a fantastic job making sure everyone was included in all of the fun and craziness.

February 2008

You Make A Difference Award WinnersKym De Los Reyes - Kym was amazingly polite and kind when a mom from another studio was trying to be grouchy at competition. Kym was overly gracious and made it virtually impossible for the mom to continue being grouchy with her or our staff. Great job Kym!

Isabella Gonzales - Was helpful to all of the staff and younger dancers all weekend at Starquest. Assisted with costumes, make-up and hair.  We appreciate all of her extra efforts at competition!

Lexi Gould -
Has consistently been our Good Will Ambassador at each of the competitions. She is supportive of all of our dancers - cheering and giving support to our first time soloists. Lexi meets dancers from other studios and compliments them as they come off stage. We can always count on her to make sure everyone is included and feels welcome.  Thank you Lexi!

Molly, Cara and ColeJanuary 2008

Cole Moffat - Cole was recognized by the staff at the Co. Dance workshop in January for giving 100% effort in each and every class. Cole's enthusiasm was a pleasure to watch. We also want to acknowledge Cole for always offering his assistance whenever he sees there is a need. Last year at the National Finals he was not even on Company Team and he assisted the Showbiz staff by cleaning up trash and helping them with a variety of task. Cole has been such a tremendous help to us this year assisting with the props at both competitions. Thank you Cole!

Molly Majeski and Cara Soper - Molly and Cara were fantastic helping all of the new dancers and their moms get ready for their first competition at Rainbow Connection. Molly and Cara arrived to competition even on the day they were not competing. They were doing hair and make-up all weekend. They also assisted the instructors with stretching and preparing the dancer to go on stage. They also assisted the younger dancers on stage at awards.  Thanks gals!  We appreciate you!

Karly and RyanMay 2007

Ryan Clugston - Ryan was chosen for always being kind and polite. He sets such a great example to his teammates. Ryan stayed late at the PRIMETIME competition to help clean up the boys dressing room. That was quite a task!  Imagine 15 teen boys bedrooms all combined into one big disaster. He was a great help getting it all cleaned up before the janitor even arrived. Thank you Ryan!

Karly Hodapp - Karly was exceptionally helpful at SHOWBIZ. She assisted with all of the younger dancers. She also helped keep the dressing room running smoothly. She kept dancers out while quick changes were happening.  Several dance moms commented on how helpful she was. Thank you Karly.

March 2007 Make a Difference Awards

March 2007

Brittney Brewer - Brittney is always kind to everyone. She was especially wonderful at our Secret Pal party. She made sure everyone made new friends and had a great time. We appreciate that she made sure that dancers new to team this year felt special and welcome. She was the perfect Hostess!

Jenny Blum - Jenny has been a tremendous asset - answering phones to assisting at the front desk. She has been exceptionally helpful to new dancers and their parents. She is constantly looking for opportunities to assist dancers and instructors.  She helps with costuming, subbing classes and computer. Jenny has also  also been wonderful helping dancers with their make-up at every competition.

Molly Majeski - Molly was an amazing help at American Dance Awards.  She was on full speed, non stop the entire weekend. It was the first competition for many of the younger dancers and Molly took care of them the entire weekend. She helped with every aspect of competition from rehearsing them to costume changes. She was terrific!

April 2006

We had five dancers who were tremendously helpful this past competition; Alyssa, Erin, Vanessa, Eve and Cara.

Alyssa Ritaca - Alyssa spent three days running around taking care of many issues for the entire staff (Jimmy had the most issues of course). She was at the theater from opening to close to support the teams and all of the dancers she assists. She also was helpful right up to the time she left the theater to go to prom. She got ready for prom in those hideous dressing rooms and had no time for a nice dinner. And yes, she was back by 6:30 the next morning to be there to support our dancers. Thank you Alyssa - we appreciate you.

Eve and Cara were amazing when we discovered that the competition was running one hour ahead of schedule and that they planned to do the same the next day. Both gals got out the cell phones and were dialing maniacs from their car. Cara would periodically call me with updates. They managed to get everyone to the theater on time. Thank You!

Erin and Vanessa were helping Miss Katie all weekend. They were also extremely helpful in getting the younger dancers changed and ready, including doing hair in those crazy dressing rooms. Moms were very thankful for their help.

LeighAnn and JessicaMarch 2006

We have two dancers who have been selected to receive the "You Make A Difference" Award; Jessica White and LeighAnn Eloe!

Jessica White - Jessica has been very helpful to all of the instructors this dance season. She has helped with props, costume pieces, organizing team building activities and assisting Jimmy and Kym with many last minute random tasks that need to be taken care of.  At Thunderstruck, Jessica was the last person in the dressing room with me picking up trash and cleaning up the area that TDC occupied.  Thanks Jessica!

LeighAnn Eloe - LeighAnn is always kind and considerate to everyone - fellow dancers, instructors and TDC staff. But we are especially proud of her for taking time from her own very busy schedule to meet with another Company dancer every Monday after school to help her with her school work.  LeighAnn is a straight A student and also plays Club soccer in addition to dancing.   I just love how our kids help each other. Thanks LeighAnn!

February 2006

Sophia Mladineo - Sophia recently had her arm cast removed after her very extensive surgery. However, she still came to the competition to support her team, cheer on Annelise who filled in for her and brought treats for everyone. What great Sportsmanship! Thanks Sophia!

Mia Majeski: - When Mia accepted the Top Overall Petite Award for Romeo at Hall of Fame, she was so poised, we thought she sounded like an experienced Academy Award winner! Mia thanked Miss Carrie and her teachers, everyone at TDC and the judges. She was sincere and gracious. We were so proud of how well spoken she was and she just turned nine years old! Great job Miss Mia!
